Comedian Nate Bargatze to host 77th Emmy Awards on CBS

Comedian Nate Bargatze has been announced as the host of the 77th Annual Emmy Awards, which will take place on Sunday, September 14, 2025, at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles. The event will air live on CBS at 8 p.m. ET / 5 p.m. PT and will also stream live and on demand via Paramount+.

Bargatze sold over 1.2 million tickets while touring in 2024, making him the top-grossing comedian in the world that year. He has released six stand-up specials, including the recent “Your Friend, Nate Bargatze” on Netflix. His 2021 Netflix special “The Greatest Average American” earned him a Grammy nomination for Best Comedy Album. Bargatze has also hosted Saturday Night Live twice.

The Television Academy announced that nominations for the 2025 Emmy Awards will be revealed on July 15. The Creative Arts Emmy Awards will take place on September 6 and 7, leading up to the Primetime Emmy Awards broadcast on September 14.
